GALEC 2 : Report for Workshop: “HI YA YA SUMMER DAY” 30/5/2013

At 6.30 p.m., everyone gathered in a circle and we get started!!! A little thing made us worried was at that time, there were only few members coming to Galec because of the bad weather. Hopefully, there would be more afterwards.
Because being afraid that the game would take lots of time, we decided to pass the “Introduction” part and go straight to the “Playing game”, which was called “New words”. We divided people into 4 groups and which group finished the 2 exercises in the shortest time would become the winner. This game gave us new words related to summer as well as some funny unexpected things. For example, group 3 totally forgot the exercise one and only did the second exercise. As the result, they couldn’t win despite the very high score of 14/15 from the exercise two. The only thing I could say was Poor them. ^.^

At the end of game, group 2 became the winner with the excellent final point of 19/21. With the requirement from the winner, one member on behalf of the losers sang 2 song. That was absolutely such a great performance that everyone in the room gave this man a thunder of clap.
After that, coming to the second part “Free talk”, people were apparently excited to share their memorable things with summers in the past as well as promising plans in this summer.

So excited!!!
The first presenter was a pretty girl, who talked about her memories with summer in the past. It’s so surprised when she said that the the very first thing coming out her mind when thinking about summer was examinations, which was relatively different from me because I just thought of no-school, shining beach, tanning skin… Also, she told us the stories with “BA MU”, which was that whenever she made a wish, It always came true. All of us were shocked of her luckiness.

A very lucky girl 
After that we had a small debate with the topic “Summer is better than Winter.”. There were only 4 mems in the room agreeing with that statement while the others totally opposed it. We had a lot of funny arguments like “In winter, it would be easier for lovers to hug each other or to do other romantic action without an uncomfortable feeling.”

She was talking about being in a merry mood in summer.
We also shared some tips to enjoy a safe and meaningful journey. Mr.Thang, who has been traveling many countries, suggested that we not to go in a tour because of the reason that we were controlled by time and could not enjoy private moments.
The fact was that this was a last workshop of Galec being held at Smartlink English Center, the next workshop would be celebrated an a new place. Therefore, the keymembers wanted to do something special and meaningful. The first one was we would like to express Galec’s thankfulness to Smartlink English Center for all of their support and assistance since Galec 2 was established. Ms.Trang on behalf of Smartlink received the painting as the gift of our club, said thank and wished that Galec would developing faster and faster in the future.

In the end, we together took a picture to memorize this beautiful moment. It was so unforgettable 
