Workshop: Corruption and Bribery in Vietnam

Nowadays corruption can be seen everywhere. It is like a cancer in public life, which has not become so rampant and perpetuated overnight, but in course of time. When we talk about corruption, it covers all sectors in public life from politics, state governments to business, education, medicine and so on. It has been one of the most serious problems in Vietnam. Though it is very difficult to control corruption but it is not impossible. It is not only the responsibility of Vietnamese government but also ours too. Corruption can be eliminated if there are joint efforts. Join us this Thursday to share your opinions and find out more information about this topic.

2) How do we understand the saying “Corruption is a cycle in the world of politics and business.”?

3) What are the reasons for this kind of action?

4) What is the effects of corruption and bribery on the society in general and on yourselves in particular?

5) Do you have any plans to improve the situation in Vietnam at the current state?

Part 3: Presentation and Q&A (40 minutes)

Part 4: Group work (20 minutes)

Have you ever become the victim of corruption in Vietnam, e.g.: in administration, transportation, education system or in working environment. Can you replay this situation or if not, you can image one drama to express the corruption in Vietnamese government system and show us.
