We got started on time as planned. No word could describe my happiness because there were many members joining that workshop in my first time of hosting.
To warm up the atmosphere, I gave people a game called “Who is Who” according to my thought . The rule of that game was as follows: all the people stood up and made a circle. A volunteer had to stand at the center of the circle and think of a person in the room with five outstanding characteristics. After thinking, the volunteer had to speak out loud those features. After each statement, people who did not that characteristic had to sit down and the rest had to stand still. After five statements, if there was just only one person standing, the volunteer would be the winner and the remaining person would be the loser. If there was not a person like that, the loser would be the volunteer.
The game happened interestingly with three key members being losers. They performed a children song by accent of animals, which made me laugh freely =)))

After that interesting game, we moved on to part 2 “Discussion”. Five groups were divided to discuss a hot topic named “Begging Industry”.

In my group, group 4 as I remember , people discussed very ebulliently about this issue. Whether we should give money to beggars remained much controversial amongst people in my group. While Mr.Toan and Ms.Ha claimed that not giving beggars alms was the best way to help them and force them to look for some jobs to earn money legitimately, others and I believed that we should depend on situations to give money or not.
Other groups seemed to focus absolutely on the topic.

At 7:30 p.m, we turned to the final part. People paid attention to the presentation.
First of all, Mr. Tuan supposed that it was so easy to recognize a beggar among many people in public places due to his/her dirty appearance and stark actions.

Surprisingly, Mr. Phu had a good idea about the differences in currency between Vietnam and USA, which made all of us have a deeper understanding about beggars in different areas.

---Mr. Phu with a legendary comparison  ------
And the girl in white in this picture said that I was like a gangster or a beggar ( I did not remember exactly). Really?????? I was so kind, just kidding Very Happy

We discussed scams behind begging industry and then it appeared that some touching moments were recorded.
Many arguments relevant to this issue were raised. A number of people wanted to talk about begging industry; however, given time limitation, we had to stop the workshop at 8:00 p.m.
No matter what the result was, I felt very happy after ending the workshop =))))
