GALEC 2: Report for "SELF-ESTEEM" 12/6/2014

The workshop was about a controversial issue of many people. Consequently It caused the atmosphere to become most excited than ever.
At 6.30 p.m the ball was rolling up with the ice-break called “WHO is WHO”. In this game, people would have 1 minute to look around the room, and pick one person that attendee impress the most. After 1 minute, the MC called some volunteers to say 3 hints about the member that he/she felt most attracted. The description could be about appearance, accessories, characteristics, or even personality of the object. It was 3 turns that happened with several amazing descriptions.

At 6.45 p.m we started the discussion part. Perhaps the previous Thursday evening was one of the most unique moments because many people were looking forward to this part because almost questions were quite practical. All attendees were categorized into 5 groups. During the discussion, many surprising arguments were given, accompanied with many creative solutions for developing self-esteem, as well as handling 3 realistic circumstances from 3 questions.







Because there were too many things to talk about “self-esteem”, the discussion had been lengthened up to 15 minutes. Therefore, 7:45 was the time for presentation.


To the beginning of the presentation, Mr Thang came up with an ideas of “family education” and environment are the crucial factors of “low self-esteem”.


The next impressive presentation belonged to Ms. Hoa, which was about “how to be a great leader” (her way of boosting up her self-esteem is reaching her goal – becoming a great leader ). First, a good team must be under commands of a good leader. And a leader should know 2 things: 1. Understand all assignments for the team, how to split a big assignment into smaller tasks; 2. how to allocate appropriately those tasks to member in the team.
However, the most outstanding person was Mr.Dung. He debated almost people in the room with his exceptional (and sometime a little over-enthusiastic) arguments. However, his enthusiasm brought us an exciting atmosphere.

The discussion was absolutely excited that it lasted within 45 minutes and there was no time left for the debates. After the workshop, everybody feels excited because besides enjoying the atmosphere of the workshop, each member has more ideas about how to increase their personal self-esteem.
