GALEC 2 : Report for Workshop" CONFESSION TREND" 21/3/2013

It was just about 6 p.m, but many exciting faces came early and began to speak English.
The introduction part was considered as a frequent part of each workshop, but that day, only some new members with new strange and fearful faces had chance to introduce themselves in front of others.
At the beginning, it was so hard to catch what they said, but after being motivated by big applauses, they felt more confident and relax. They spoke louder from that point until the end of the workshop.
The warm-up game was right next to the introduction part. We all could imagine how the game was from its name- “antonym” game. The MC divided members into four groups who would compete each other. The MC gave group 1 one word, and group 1 had to find its antonym- the other word with opposite meaning. Then group 2, group 3, group 4, gave the correct answers. Group 1 restarted a new round:

Our members were obviously good at vocabulary. We finally found out group 2 as “the loser” of warm-up game. They were asked to move to the center and received punishment. They stood in two parallel lines in condition that in each line, the next person could look straightly at the back of the front person:

They moved closer and closer together, and then the front person seated on the leg of the after. It might be so interesting. Here were their exciting smiles:

Discussion might be the main part of the workshop. In group of 6 to 8, people discussed about four questions in the handout or whatever relevant to the topic. Some groups were so creative that they played “confess” game- each one had to answer truly to questions about love, kiss, etc.

Presentation and Q&A were set up right after discussion so that members could raise their own voice in front of the crowded. There was some silent seconds because confession trend on Facebook was probably such a new trend yet somebody had not known about it before.
It’s certain that after listening to their friends’ opinion, they understood more about confession

Role play part was spent 30 last minutes of the workshop. With the complicate situation, members suggested so many solutions if they were in Linda’s shoes:

Especially, this group played the role with Linda, the man having four children. Their performent was entirely out of expectation.
Time elapsed so fast. It’s time the workshop ended. After attending the workshop, people could remind themselves that they needed to take responsibilities for what they did, not only on the Internet but also in their real-life.
