Report for Workshop: READING CULTURE
Time: 6h30-8h00 p.m., Thursday 8/5/2014
Place: ETC Training English Center, No.196B Thai Thinh
(Note: On the upcoming Thursday 15/5/2014, our workshop will be hosted in a NEW place – Multi Language Training Center (30 Yen Lang St., Dong Da Dist.). The time still remains as usual (6:30 p.m-8:00 p.m)

After having everyone gather in a circle, we got started this promisingly exciting workshop!!! After the MC introduced about himself, we in turn made a few words talking about our name, school and countryside to know each member better. Surprisingly, today we saw many old faces who used to be regular members in the past but due to busy schedule, they had been showing up at Galec 2 for such a long time. We are very pleased to welcome Ms. Minh, Ms.Thuy and so on.

~~Our great MC~~
Because starting a little bit late than usual and being afraid of getting overtime, we decided to pass the “Playing game” part and went straight to the “Discussion”. 5 groups were divided and then we found extremely hot in the atmosphere. People were apparently excited and ebullient to share their reading habit as well as most interesting and unforgettable books they have ever read. Besides, members in my group also the issues related to intellectual property when college students often photocopied, scanned books to study instead of buying the original ones. For some of us, it was acceptable but Mr.Phu. He mention aggressively about writers’ profits and accidentally promoting pirated books.

Coming to the most exciting part of the workshop – “Presentation and Q&A”, and today we had so many extremely excellent presenters. Take a look at these picture below to see who they were:

~~Mr.Thang was one of the rarely ones who raised the hand for the question “Do you like reading book?”. After, we heard a totally socking question for a new face – Another Mr.Thang which was “Does it count for READING FACEBOOK?”. The audience then immediately bursted into laughter and could not stop for a while. ~~

~~Mr.Tuan told us his story that he often bought books after getting some recommendations from his friends then putting it on the bookselves until one of his friends borrowed it and never returned. ~~

~~Ms.Thuy and her persuasive presentation about large disadvantages of ebooks overs paper books. ~~

~~Mr.Thang and his no less charming and convincing about considerable advantages of ebooks. ~~
Because there was not much time left, MC.Uoc summarized all ideas and gave us some useful idioms related to books. Here they are. The most funny saying of that day must have belonged to Mr.Thang with the saying “Don't judge a book by its cover. So what we need is taking off the cover” (personally eewww >.<)
