Galec 2: Report Suicice workshop 10/5/2012

We had a really interesting workshop on last Thursday although there were not many people came to club due to hot weather or something else (traffic jam, exams…..)
In the first part of the workshop, we played a game named “Hot seat”. In this game, the club was split up into two teams. One member from each team sat facing his/her own group. MC held up a word for all of the team members to see except for the two players in the hot seats. The teams must try to get the person in the hot seat to guess the word or phrase.

Black-shirt girl: I’m gonna get that word; White-shirt one: I’m gonna be quiker than you are, haha

B: Is it: “Suicide killer”; G: Nope, nope, you’re almost catching it
Then, we moved to the second part- discussion part in small groups. The topic “Suicide” was kind of a serious, sensitive topic, so we seemed pretty tense at first. However, as the time went on, it was obviously to see that we were more excited and involved in every question’s respect.

Our members are more and more involved in the topic

After sharing a lot of ideas, experiences in groups, we were eager for listening to others’ presentation. A lot of meaningful stories were spoken out.

When I was a child, I got a bad mark and then I thought of suicide. The method I tended to use at that time is to crash my head on my pillow. ^^

We should be more positive and should not think of giving up our life.
The last activity of our workshop was solving the tricky situation. Four teams had to compete with each other by showing their solution for it. Because of the time limit, there were just two teams taking their chance to show out their intelligence. They both came up with the funniest plays ever. ^^
