Nowadays, it seems that globalization is the inevitable trend. The falling of trade barriers, the development of technology, and the birth of global economic organizations such as WTO has motivated globalization process. How do you understand about globalization?

I/Warm up (15 minutes)

Face – to – Face.
List best global brands according to the Top 100 Global Brands reported by Interbrand.

II/ Free talk (35 minutes)

1. What does the term ‘Globalization’ means? What are the aspects of globalization?

2. How has Globalization affected your life? Discussing about advantages and disadvantages of globalization.

3. Have you ever heard the phrase “Global Citizen”? What do you think about the phrase? What will you do to be a “Global Citizen”?

4. Some people think “Globalization” will lead to the total loss of national cultures. Do you agree or disagree with the idea? What have changed due to globalization? And what still remain until now?

5. What will globalization look like 100 years from now?

Role play

Mai is a Vietnamese beautiful and intelligent girl. She has a romantic love with a Muslim Pakistani man. They intend to get married and live together happily ever after. However, Mai’s parent disagree her boyfriend and force her to break up with him. They don’t want their daughter to get married with a Muslim.

Please help Mai to persuade her parents!
