Report for Workshop: “PERFECT vs SPECIAL”
Time: 6h30-8h30 p.m., Thursday 23/5/2013
Place: Smartlink English Center, No 3, Lane 196 Thai Thinh
(Note: Leave your vehicle at Viettin Bank 196 Thai Thinh)

At first it was a brief explanation about the topic since many attendees supposed that the 2 term “perfect” & “special” in their given-handout were were were ambiguous. “Perfect” stands for a group of person who possess a broaden knowledge, as well as are are able to perform multi-skills at an acceptable level. There is no doubt to say that Vladimir Putin is the paradigm of perfect man. On the other other hands, “Special” indicates other people who excel in several fields. These people often invent many things new by their advance intelligence, such as Einstein or Newton.
Because the questions were longer than usual, there were only 3 main parts. At first it was still a personal introduction. Each person talked about themselves within a couple of sentences.
Afterward, we counted from 1 to 4 in counterclockwise direction for dividing into smaller groups. The discussion was intentionally lasted for around 40 minutes. Because the topic mentioned about a very controversial issue & hit directly to each individual target, everybody presented their ideas eagerly from the very beginning of discussion part.

In my group, I personally supposed that increasing our productivity is the best way to be “perfect” or “special”. It means raising our workload while reducing the time. Since time is not our unlimited source, it is better to recover quickly after failures then move along our chosen routes.

45 minutes was over due to everybody’s eagerness during discussion. Because “perfect or special” terms are relative concepts and can be understood in various ways, the presentation was extremely interesting. Mr.Martin - the first representative claimed that nobody is perfect or special, and the ways to be perfect or special is how you show yourself in front of others.

Next, people argued about the appearance of “Nick Vujicic” in Vietnam recently. Some supposed that our local business has wasted money to hire a foreign man to teach us about “the power of our own willpower”. However, the majority agree that Nick is still a legendary due to his exceptional performance.
When the story of Nick was over, Mr.“Wind” & Mr.Bravo raised a small debate about whether we should read book to study or not. After approximately 5 minutes of discussing, the MC came to a final decision which was combining 2 techniques: reading books related to your interest to develop your strength, while using “active learning” to reach our goal within a much shorter time.
