Abortion is the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy. Deciding whether or not to get an abortion can be one of the toughest choices that a pregnant woman has to go through. Several things need to be factored in during the decision making process. Can abortion leave lasting emotional scars on a woman, especially if they follow a teen pregnancy? Is it sometimes best to help prevent an abortion? Let’s join and share your opinions on this issue at this Thursday workshop of Galec 2 English Club.

2. In your opinion, should abortion be legal or illegal? Are there any special cases in which abortion is acceptable?
3. Do you think abortion should be encouraged for girls of 12, 13 or 14 years old? What advice would you give them?
4. In order to prevent an abortion, which solutions would you suggest?

IV. Group work: Role-play
Suppose that a girl (perhaps your friend, sister, lover...) is going to have an abortion. You need to ask her specificly the reasons for that. Then try to give her the best solutions.
