CREATIVITY

I. Warm-up game: Category game
List out as many words as possible in each given category. But here is the twist: every words you can come up with has to begin with letter “C” (As “C” in Creativity)

II. Discussion
1. What is creativity? Do you consider yourself a creative person? Why? What is something creative that you have done? What are some ways that a person can be creative?
2. Name creative people you know or have heard of – they don’t have to be famous. What are some of the things they have done that you consider creative?
3. When you are in a group, what type of behaviors help stimulate your creativity? What type of behaviors or comments diminish it?
4. Creativity can often lead to conflict and instability. Why do you think this is? And why then might you want more creativity in your life or organization?
5. In which professional field do you think people are most creative?
6. According to Pablo Picasso, “Every act of creation is first of all an act of destruction.” What do you think must be destroyed? Is it possible to apply Picasso’s creative philosophy to your workplace?

IV. Group work: Debate (30’)
Creativity training activities: In this part, we are going to provide you with some activities to help you trigger your creative thinking. What you will have to do and how to do it is going to be revealed in our workshop this Saturday. Telling you in advance will do your creativity no good.
