GALEC 2 English Club: Report Workshop"The letters “women” in your mind" 18/10/2012

The Vietnamese Women’s day is coming, which is the reason why we held this workshop for members to share their own and hidden thoughts about women.
The workshop began at 6.30pm with the interesting introduction part where members took turns to introduce themselves.



After the funny introduction, GALEC’s members came to the main part of the workshop called Free Talk where they discussed, shared and listened to others

“What makes you think that you’re luckier than men? If you were men, what would you expect?”



“What are the common characteristics of Vietnamese women?”


“Which one do you respect most? Would you like to change any common characteristics of them?”


“The women who are highly qualified tend to have less concern family life. Do you agree or not? If it’s true, give them some suggestion to balance their work and family.

After that each member of each team had chances to make presentation and was willing to answer any questions coming from others

This woman shared her experiences of family life and her difficulties in balancing her work and family


We didn’t have Group work Part, instead of which we had an interesting and exciting activity with the aim of congratulating the Women’s Day 20th October.

In this part, women made impressive introduction to appeal men and make them remember some distinguished things about each woman. Each man had to choose a piece of paper on which MC wrote the name of a woman and had to describe for others to guess who she was. If others found out the woman, he would have a chance to give her a gift.


On the cards enclosed with the gifts, there were sweet sayings which the men had to express emotionally to the women
