Report for Workshop: NATIONAL EXAMINATIONS IN VIETNAM
Time: 6h30-8h00 p.m., Thursday 18/9/2014
Venue: MULTI LANGUAGE Training Center, No.30 Yen Lang
(Note: Leave your vehicle at Thai Thinh Primary School)

The workshop started at about 6:30 p.m. The MC introduced about himself and then all members in the room gave a short introduction about name, job, age and so on. After that, a warm-up game was organized to heat the atmosphere. There were 3 groups and each group would be given 10 pieces of paper with words related to “EDUCATION”. Finally, because of the excellent performance of Ms.Thuy and Mr.Toan, group 2 was winner with 12 points.

Moving to the second part – Discussion, 5 groups were divided and it seemed like the atmosphere was so hot. People were apparently excited and ebullient to share their experience about taking part in high school graduation and university entrance exam; and also opinion about MoET decision of combining these 2 exams.

Coming to the most exciting part of the workshop – “Presentation and Q&A”, we had discussion so much about our memory when taking part in high school graduation.

~~This boy blamed his bad score on the attractiveness of the girl sitting next to him during the high school graduation period~~

~~We also had a small debate about the fairness of merging the high school graduation and university entrance exams into one national exam to be held every June from the academic year of 2015.~~

~~Mr.Son gave us an analysis about whether Vietnam should loosen the university entrance and tighten the university graduation like western countries. And due to the difference in education quality, the answer should be “NO”.~~
Because of the limitation of time, we had to say good bye and end the workshop at 8:00.
