Part-time Volunteer Translator – Base in Hanoi

Our organisation:
We’re proud that Projects Abroad is the leading organisation recruiting young people from the UK, Europe, USA, Canada, Australia and Japan to do worthwhile voluntary work overseas.

Annually we send over 3500 enthusiastic volunteers to 26 developing countries for conversational English teaching and work experience attainment in fields of care, medicine, journalism, veterinary science, law and communication.

Projects Abroad Vietnam is set up as an International Non Governmental Organisation with one Hanoi-based office.
We are now looking for part-time translators for our foreign volunteers working in their teaching and care placements such as schools, orphanages, or handicapped centres in and around Hanoi.

Your role as a Volunteer Translator:
 Translate for foreign volunteers.
 Coordinate and assist Volunteers in volunteering.
 Coordinate and keep contact with your supervisor
 Inform your Projects Abroad Supervisor when having days off.
Our requirements:

You should be:
 A student or graduate.
 Fluent in English and Vietnamese, both spoken and written
 Organized and able to manage time efficiently
 Able to remain calm and efficient under pressure
 Enthusiastic to work with people from different cultures and relish the opportunity to work in a challenging environment.
 Be punctual
